Waverley Foothills Preschool is a place where children build new friendships, learn life skills and gain knowledge about the world around them. We provide our 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten programs in a welcoming, happy, caring, and social environment.
Children are given a voice and the power to make some decisions in our program, as we believe this produces a variety of rich and meaningful experiences. Kindergarten is a very exciting time for the children and their families and we aim for all to have very happy memories of their time at Waverley Foothills Preschool.
Facilities and Services
- SUSTAINABILITY
At Waverley Foothills Preschool, we promote the natural environment and build positive attitudes towards sustainable values. We encourage children to play, observe and interact with the natural environment, and we teach and model reusing and recycling in our activities.
- COMMUNITY FOCUS
We value the involvement of the community in our children’s education and learning. We take the children out into the community on excursions. These are a great way for the children to have new experiences and learn more about themselves, and the community they are a part of.
- HEALTH AND SAFETY
At Waverley Foothills Preschool, we actively promote healthy eating, oral hygiene and sun smart awareness. We focus on keeping our staff and children safe outside, therefore we are official participants in the SunSmart program.
- MULTICULTURAL
We focus on exploring different cultures and traditions from around the world. We are proud to provide a multicultural curriculum, teaching the children about diversity and understanding, and celebrating a variety of cultural events and holidays throughout the year.
