At Templestowe Preschool, we provide 3 year old and 4 year old Kindergarten programs. Our nurturing and experienced educators deliver our program in a bright, welcoming and engaging playroom, with a large outdoor play area, incorporating both natural and man-made areas. Our building also contains a covered veranda so that children have the flexibility to enjoy an indoor and outdoor program throughout the year.
To grow, develop and learn children need to experience play-based learning that is engaging and open-ended. Play is a means for exploring, creating, discovering, imagining and communicating as they begin to understand the world and community they are a part of.
Facilities and Services
- SPACE TO EXPLORE
We have large indoor and outdoor play spaces so that children have plenty of room to move and explore. Our playground is large and leafy, with a covered sandpit, timber kitchen, climbing equipment, swings and two veggie patches.
- DIVERSE CURRICULUM
At Templestowe Preschool, our curriculum supports social, emotional, cognitive, physical, technological and creative learning. It is also a celebration of multiculturalism and includes a variety of cultural events throughout the year.
- LOCAL EXCURSIONS
Excursions are a key part of our curriculum. Venturing out into the local area allows children to explore the world around them, and feel a part of a community. We are located next to Templestowe Village, close to shops, cafes and beautiful parkland.
- SAFETY IN THE SUN
We value the outdoor environment and believe that children benefit from experiencing seasonal changes. We are very conscious of keeping our staff and children safe in the sun; therefore, we are official participants in the SunSmart program.
