Providing children with opportunities to explore, imagine, play and discover their world!
We provide high quality 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten to the children of the Ringwood community. Our programs are delivered by nurturing and qualified educators in a bright and welcoming playroom, and spacious outdoor environment.
The programs are play-based to allow the children to explore and experiment within our safe, educational environment. We believe children are active learners, they are naturally curious and gain confidence as they explore. Therefore, our program focuses on the individual interests and strengths of each child, whilst ensuring they meet their developmental goals.
Norwood Preschool has been rated as Exceeding National Quality Standards. Our experienced, qualified and skilled educators strive for excellence and continually seek to improve in all aspects of their work.
Facilities and Services
- NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
We value the outdoor environment and believe children benefit from experiencing seasonal changes, opportunities for physical development and time to play outside. We focus on keeping our staff and children safe in the sun and being sunsmart.
- LOCAL COMMUNITY FOCUS
We connect with our local community. We have regular incursions with visitors from the wider community, with topics including dental, responsible vets, drama, science, library, cultural learning, dance, Australian indigenous learning, sport and more.
- HEALTHY EATING EDUCATION
At Norwood Preschool, we promote healthy eating. We teach our children about the importance of healthy foods and incorporate cooking into our program. Our children are also involved with our veggie patch.
- MULTICULTURAL PROGRAM
We focus on exploring different cultures and traditions from around the world. We are proud to provide a multicultural curriculum, teaching about diversity and understanding. This includes celebrating a variety of cultural events throughout the year.
