Mirboo North Kindergarten is a centrally located
kindergarten in the very community-oriented town of Mirboo North. We work
closely with local schools, day care, library and maternal health. Our extensive
and captivating outdoors area features a bike track. large established trees and
our famous Pirate Ship.
With a focus on sustainability, we are on a path
of learning about the responsible management of our environment. Our facilities
provide space to play, explore and learn about the world and share these
experiences with friends and family.
Our Kindergarten supports and encourages family
participation in the program and events. We actively access the skills and
interests of families and community members for the program – such as soap
making, music and yoga.
Play is the foundation for all of our learning
and is planned into our program based on input from the children, observations,
current events, and teachers' learning objectives. We design activities to
support and extend development across all areas. Many skills and disciplines are
incorporated into experiences to support all children’s learning and
interests.
We have a team of highly dedicated and trained
staff who have developed a program and planning style unique to their creative
and involved natures. Staff highly value education and the concept of learning
through play and exploration.
Mirboo North Kindergarten actively supports and
is supported by local businesses and families, and participates in local
