Mary Beck Kindergarten

At Mary Beck Preschool, children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, self-awareness and a positive self-identity.

We promote a welcoming environment where parents and preschool children feel comfortable and children’s individual needs are catered for.

The children have the opportunity to develop warm, caring relationships with adults, and friendships with their peers. To enhance each child’s ability to succeed to their full potential at school, children are provided with activities that develop confidence, communication skills and perseverance. We also encourage a friendly setting where children are respected.

We believe that by working together, families, communities and educators can promote each child’s wellbeing, thus translating into happy enthusiastic lifelong learners.

Jacinta Anderson

Hi, I am the Director and Teacher at Mary Beck Preschool in Neerim South. I commenced here in 2000. I initially choose to work in early childhood because of the many opportunities to influence children’s futures and their growing interest in learning. I find it a joy helping children discover a world of possibilities. I teach both the 3 and 4 year old groups.
I have a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies, Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood, and have completed a Masters of Education, majoring in Inclusive and Special Education. My work has recently been validated by an independent reviewer as exemplary.
I believe that children learn through play and I plan an educational program based on VEYLDF (Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework)  that incorporates the children’s interests, strengths and needs.
