A community that honors the rights of children and ensures they have an opportunity to be heard and feel safe. We are a well-established Preschool located in Blackburn North. We provide quality programs for both 3 year old and 4 year old children.
We provide children with opportunities to develop caring, positive and nurturing relationships with friends and our passionate educators. With a play-based approach, we use our environment to create wonder in our children’s learning. Come and see us and say “hi”.

We are proud to say we achieved a ranking of “Exceeding National Quality Standards”. This is the highest possible rating currently available. This is a testament to the extremely high standards which our staff achieve.
- COMMUNITY FOCUS
Excursions are a key part of our curriculum. Venturing out into the local area allows children to explore the world around them, and feel a part of a community. We also learn about and connect with our Indigenous community.
- DIVERSE CURRICULUM
Our curriculum supports social, emotional, cognitive, physical, technological and creative learning. It is also a celebration of multiculturalism and includes a variety of cultural events throughout the year.
- SUN SAFETY
At Katrina Preschool, we are very conscious of keeping our staff and children safe in the sun; therefore, we are official participants in the SunSmart program.
