Our Centre

At Greenwood Park we’re proud to have been providing high-quality Kindergarten for over 70 years!

Our centre is heritage-listed and situated within a natural setting of leafy trees. We provide a warm, caring and stimulating environment in which each child’s individual strengths are valued.

Our curriculum is play-based, as we believe that children learn best through action rather than instruction. Our inviting outdoor area is large and well shaded, providing plenty of space for your child to explore, discover and be creative.

Our committed educators work alongside our diverse community of families. The early years are a special time, where the foundations are laid for children to develop a sense of belonging and a love of learning.

Kinder Programs

We offer free 3 and 4 year old kindergarten, with our programs running 15 hours a week.

Community
Excursions

Excursions support children to explore and get to know different spaces outside of their immediate world at the centre. We run a variety of excursions and incursions to enhance learning and development.

Sustainability Focus

We encourage children to develop a sense of responsibility for the environment through modelling sustainable practices, such as compost use, waste avoidance, and the use of natural materials.

Access

Storypark connects our educators with families, providing the ability to share news, service updates, progress and exciting moments from kinder to home!

Space to
Explore

Our large yard is shady and leafy. There’s plenty of room to play, move and explore. In addition to the many play spaces we also have a veggie garden.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people, providing safe and fun environments for children to flourish.

Our kindergarten’s philosophy guides our teaching and approach to early learning. It is informed by the National Quality Framework and underpins all our service’s operations and daily practices.

The Y has been delivering Early Learning Programs for over 20 years and is passionate about creating safe, fun, educational environments where children can thrive. At the Y, we believe in the power of inspired young people and we feel there is no better time to begin inspiring than in an Early Learning program!

Enrolment & Session Information

Greenwood Park Kindergarten’s registration process is managed by MIKA’s Central Enrolment Scheme (Maroondah Integrated Kindergarten Association).

We operate free 4 year old and 3 year old kindergarten programs on the days and times below:
