Croydon Central Kindergarten

Croydon Central Kindergarten encourages a love of learning that lasts a lifetime!

Croydon Central Kindergarten provides 4 year old Kindergarten, in a supported, play based environment. We believe that children succeed when they feel safe and supported within their learning environment, and we have created a space to reflect this.

Building understanding through play is the most effective way for children to learn. Children are encouraged to play independently, to be a part of small groups and to develop a sense of belonging in our preschool team. A wide range of open-ended activities allow the children to develop skills, gain independence, build confidence, explore ideas, develop relationships and communicate with others.

Exceeding Standards
Croydon Central Kindergarten has been rated as Exceeding National Quality Standards, reflecting our dedication to both our children and their families.

Facilities and Services

We explore different cultures and traditions. We provide a multicultural curriculum, teaching the children about diversity and celebrating a variety of cultural holidays throughout the year.

Excursions are a key part of our curriculum. Discovering the local area allows children to explore the world around them, and creates a deeper connection, as the children feel part of a community.

At Croydon Central Kindergarten, we are very conscious of keeping our staff and children safe in the sun; therefore we are official participants in the SunSmart program.

We support our children to cope with this exciting and challenging period of change. Partnering with our local primary school, the children have the opportunity to visit and interact with students.

Applications for 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten are through MIKA's Central Enrolment Scheme (Maroondah Integrated Kindergarten Association) – see here.
