Our Centre

Each day at Clayton Preschool offers a world of new experiences!

Based in Clayton Community Centre – we are proud of the warm and welcoming environment we create for children and families. We believe that the early years are a pivotal time in children’s lives, and that kindergarten is an important and meaningful place of learning for them.

At Clayton Preschool, our educators know that the best way for children to learn is through play-based curriculum and independent inquiry. Children are guided through new activities and adventures, focusing on the rich multicultural community of our wonderful families. Our program works in partnership with the children and their families to create a space that fosters learning and friendship.

 Our curriculum includes exploration of the local community. Venturing out into the local area allows children to explore the world around them, and interact with new experiences and people.

Explore

We have large indoor and outdoor play spaces so there is plenty of room to move and explore. Our rich learning environment supports social, emotional, cognitive, physical, technological and creative learning.

Access

Storypark connects our educators with families, providing the ability to share news, service updates, progress and exciting moments from kinder to home!

SunSmart
Kindergarten

At our Kinder, we are very conscious of keeping our staff and children safe in the sun; and we are official participants in the SunSmart program.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people, providing safe and fun environments for children to flourish.

Philosophy

Our kindergarten’s philosophy guides our teaching and approach to early learning. It is informed by the National Quality Framework and underpins all our service’s operations and daily practices.

The Y has been delivering Early Learning Programs for over 20 years and is passionate about creating safe, fun, educational environments where children can thrive. At the Y, we believe in the power of inspired young people and we feel there is no better time to begin inspiring than in an Early Learning program!

Enrolment & Session Information

Clayton Preschool’s registration process is managed centrally by the City of Monash and is supported by the Y Kinders enrolment team who will provide information and support to families on any queries relating to your child’s enrolment.

We operate free 4 year old and 3 year old kindergarten programs on the days and times below:
