We are a dedicated, nurturing community kindergarten that has been part of the Ashwood area for more than 45 years.
We provide a warm and encouraging environment for our children to learn, develop and interact. Since our inception in the 1960s, we have kept the same ideals of family, community and putting children first, something that has enabled our kindergarten to grow and thrive throughout the years.
At Ashwood Memorial Kindergarten (AMK) we provide both three and four-year-old sessional programs and we are proud of our reputation for preparing our little ones for their journey into primary school. Our focus isn’t just on the children attending the kindergarten, but also on their families and friends. It takes a village to raise a child, and the families who are part of the Ashwood Memorial Kindergarten village are part of our village for life.

Facilities and Services
- DIVERSE CURRICULUM
Our curriculum supports social, emotional, cognitive, physical, technological and creative learning. We also celebrate multiculturalism and include a variety of cultural events throughout the year.
- COMMUNITY EXCURSIONS
Excursions are a key part of Ashwood Memorial Kindergarten’s curriculum. Venturing out into the local area allows children to explore the world around them, and feel a part of a community.
- SUNSMART KINDERGARTEN
At Ashwood Memorial Kindergarten, we are very conscious of keeping our staff and children safe in the sun; therefore, we are official participants in the SunSmart program.
- NATURAL SURROUNDINGS
Our natural surroundings give children a wonderful focal point for their play and learning. They can float boats in the creek, collect leaves, pick flowers to arrange in their sandpit cooking, explore hidden gardens and much more.
