Robinvale Preschool

Robinvale Preschool is proudly a not for profit service which is managed by the YMCA. The Centre relies on collaboration between our educators who build professional partnerships and support the developing child. The Centre respects the values of the community and is committed to providing a high quality of care and educational experience.

Robinvale Preschool delivers both three and four year old play based programs. These child centred programs allow children to be confident and competent learners and encourage interaction and collaboration with peers.

Our program meets the developmental outcomes of both the Victorian Early Years Learning and Developmental Framework and Belonging, Being and Becoming; the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia.

Robinvale Preschool has a team of professional educators who dedicate themselves to ensure that the children’s needs, strengths and interests are being met in a manner which allows them to play, explore, laugh, discover, problem solve and most importantly, have fun.

Michelle

4 Year Old Teacher

My name is Michelle and I'm the 4-year-old Teacher.  I look forward to helping your child explore, inquire, learn, develop friendships and most importantly…. HAVE FUN!

I am new to Robinvale Pre-school and the YMCA in 2019, so we'll all be learning together. I am three subjects away from completing my Bachelor of Early Childhood Education through Latrobe University.

I have been working in Early Childhood for over ten years, working in long day care centres, after school programs and then in Kindergartens. I have always loved working with children, which commenced when I was 16 years old and worked as a babysitter, then continued in a number of settings and more recently when I had my own family.

From birth to the age of five, a child's life if full of learning important and exciting things, which they will build upon. I believe that children develop and learn best in loving, nurturing, empathic, understanding, safe, fun and healthy environments which we at Robinvale Preschool aim to provide for your child.

Franca

Kindergarten Assistant

My name is Franca, I completed my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care in 2015. While studying my course, I was working at the Preschool part time, as part of my traineeship. I have been at Robinvale Preschool since September 2012 as a relief staff member. I've also been part of the committee and appreciate the amazing support of families now and in the past. It is such a privilege to see the next generations of families coming through the Kinder and to be able to be part of their lives and make a difference.

I enjoy contributing to these important stages of children's education and it's an honour to share the journey with them as they prepare for 'big' school.

Paula

Kindergarten Assistant

Hello, my name is Paula. I'm almost finished my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and have an extensive background in child care. I also have a Certificate V in Literacy and Language and a Certificate III in Education Support. This gives me a great foundation for managing difficult behaviour and learning difficulties.

I'm looking forward to rolling out the Tommy Turtle reading program throughout the year and working closely with children needing one on one support. I am a firm believer in having pets in the classroom and allowing children to explore and care for them. I think that there is no better way to teach empathy and understanding than through looking after and observing animals. I am involved with the loan of pets to our Kinder families – providing an opportunity for them to gain insights into which animals might fit their families best.

I enjoy being able to give a little back to the next generation and am passionate about the role of early learning in helping children to build confidence and prepare for their first years of school.
