Our Centre

Havilah Road Preschool is an established Kindergarten where families are always welcome to share the children’s learning.

The educators are passionate, friendly and experienced in meeting the diverse needs of families.
Our program is play based aiming to support the individual needs, abilities and interests of the children while being fun, interesting and challenging.​​

We are proud to be offering a second language as part of our daily educational program. This “Learn Languages at Kindergarten” program includes a Karen Teacher joining the Preschool for 2 sessions a week to support and involve all of the children in Karen language activities and experiences. These contribute to communication and literacy skills, enhance engagement and offer many cognitive and social benefits.

The program is a State funded initiative through the Department of Education and will be in place for four years.

3 & 4 Year Old
Kinder Programs

We offer free 3 and 4 year old kindergarten, with our programs running 15 hours a week.

Community
Excursions

Connecting with their community is important to develop children’s understanding of their world and widen their experiences. Incursions and excursions are a key part of our program.

Learn a Language
Program

A language teacher joins our Preschool for 2 sessions a week to involve the children in fun activities and experiences to learn the Karen language.

Space to
Explore

We have large shaded outdoor play spaces so there is plenty of room to move and explore. Our rich learning environment supports social, emotional, cognitive, physical, technological and creative learning.

Access

Storypark connects our educators with parents, providing the ability to share news, service updates, progress and exciting moments from kinder to home!

We pride ourselves on our commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people, providing safe and fun environments for children to flourish.

Our kindergarten’s philosophy guides our teaching and approach to early learning. It is informed by the National Quality Framework and underpins all our service’s operations and daily practices.

Enrolment & Session Information

Havilah Road Preschool’s enrolment registration process is managed centrally by the LMPA Central Enrolment Scheme and is supported by the Y Kinders’ enrolment team who will provide information and support on any queries relating to your child’s enrolment.

We offer both 4 year old and 3 year old free kindergarten programs as mixed age groups on the days and times below:
