Our Centre

Through play-based experiences, we help children learn and thrive!

At Croydon Gums Kindergarten, we run 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten programs. Our programs are play-based, and through play, children explore, discover and learn about themselves and their world around them.

Our Educators identify the strengths and interests of the children and design the environment and activities around them. We use open-ended materials that enable children to use their imagination in creating their own learning and discovery.

We offer free 3 and 4 year old kindergarten, with our programs running 15 hours a week.

Excursions

Excursions are a key part of Croydon Gums Kindergarten’s curriculum. Venturing out into the local area allows children to explore the world around them, and feel a part of a community.

Music & Movement Program

We foster a strong music and movement program where children can freely express themselves, develop and learn in a fun and unintimidating way.

Access

Storypark connects our educators with families, providing the ability to share news, service updates, progress and exciting moments from kinder to home!

SunSmart Kindergarten

At Croydon Gums Kindergarten, we are very conscious of keeping our staff and children safe in the sun; and we are official participants in the SunSmart program.

Our kindergarten’s philosophy guides our teaching and approach to early learning. It is informed by the National Quality Framework and underpins all our service’s operations and daily practices.

The Y has been delivering Early Learning Programs for over 20 years and is passionate about creating safe, fun, educational environments where children can thrive. At the Y, we believe in the power of inspired young people and we feel there is no better time to begin inspiring than in an Early Learning program!

Enrolment & Session Information

Croydon Gum’s registration process is managed by MIKA’s Central Enrolment Scheme (Maroondah Integrated Kindergarten Association).

We operate both 4 year old and 3 year old kindergarten programs on the days and times below:
