Our Centre

At Bayswater North Kindergarten we believe in providing children with opportunities to explore, imagine, play and discover their world!

We run 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten programs which are play-based to allow the children to explore and experiment within our safe, educational environment. 

We also believe children are active learners, they are naturally curious and gain confidence as they explore. Therefore, our program focuses on the individual interests and strengths of each child, whilst ensuring they meet their developmental goals.

We offer free 3 and 4 year old kindergarten, with our programs running 15 hours a week.

Community
Excursions

Excursions support children to explore and get to know different spaces outside of their immediate world at the centre. We run a variety of excursions and incursions to enhance learning and development.

Bushland
Excursions

Excursions are a key part of our curriculum. We run regular excursions to our ‘Bushland’. The children explore the natural space and engage in special activities.

Storypark App
Access

Storypark connects our educators with families, providing the ability to share news, service updates, progress and exciting moments from kinder to home!

Space to
Explore

Our large specially designed outdoor play spaces give children plenty of room to move and explore. We are official participants in the SunSmart program.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people, providing safe and fun environments for children to flourish.

Our kindergarten’s philosophy guides our teaching and approach to early learning. It is informed by the National Quality Framework and underpins all our service’s operations and daily practices.

The Y has been delivering Early Learning Programs for over 20 years and is passionate about creating safe, fun, educational environments where children can thrive. At the Y, we believe in the power of inspired young people and we feel there is no better time to begin inspiring than in an Early Learning program!

Enrolment & Session Information

Bayswater North Kindergarten’s registration process is managed by MIKA’s Central Enrolment Scheme (Maroondah Integrated Kindergarten Association).

We operate both 4 year old and 3 year old free kindergarten programs as a single mixed-age group on the days and times below:
